Conventional wisdom would have us think that cats do not swim; however, we know that tigers are good swimmers and leopards prey on fish, and let’s not forget to mention the swamp lions of Duba Plains.

Kenyan parliament is being asked to introduce a new law banning the use of Furadan - a cheap but deadly pesticide. This move has been supported by the conservation group - Wildlife Direct who says that local herdsman are using the pesticide to poison lions and other predators that are a threat to their livestock.

Over the last couple of months a female leopard has become a familiar visitor to guests at Lion Sands in South Africa. She has been seen moving in a nad around the dry river beds and surrounding vegetation. In the last three weeks she has seems to have stayed in the same area - making the rangers think that she may have cubs.
